dc.description.abstractThe following article discusses the triangulation of quantitative and qualitative research methods in a study of gender-effects on the language abilities of learners of French and Spanish in grade 9 and 10 in Germany. In this context, reflections concerning the concept of gender and the relevance of each research method are made.
